national young leaders' day 2006
Zhu tou ri ji...
It was a long saturaday today. I spent almost my whole day at singapore expo for the national young leaders' day talk. The place was half packed by all young leaders from other secondary schools. The hall was big...@.@ and cold too. Lol...Thanks to samuel's jacket ( is windbreaker actually ),it is better than nothing to keep me warm.
The programme started around 10am with a very great opening ceremony. ^.^ It was a performance by the strikeforce. A group of people playing music by drums and other music instruments. Their performance was great and they brought up the atmosphere. Their encore was when all lights were switched off and the drumers started beating some special drums which can be fill up with water on the surface of the drums plus some spotlights,i think. When they beat the drums,it created a special effect which i can't use words to express. I felt as if i am at a concert. It was really great! ( pls: 1 guy in the group looks cool while he is playing. Chloe will knows who i am refering. )
There were 5 speakers to share their inspirating and leaderships skills with us. The first to share was Mr Jack Sim,chairman of the world toliet organisation. So next time when we use the washrooms in public,we will have to thanks him, because without him,our public toliets will be not a good 'environment'. Second speaker was Miss Kaira Gong Shi Jia!!! A local singer. She performed 2 songs for us and were great. next,we had our lunch under the big hot sun!!! It was 12 noon at that time and it was the hottest time of the day. I felt myself melting at that time...#.# Guess what,i got a mild sun burn. T.T After lunch was another performance by O school. Was a group of guys dancing hip hop, showing all kinds of complicated movements. 'Zhen de shi da kai yan jie' Up next was,Dr Andrew Goh,chairman of world vision,Singapore motivational speaker. Second last speaker was Miss Joscelin Yeo,Team Singapore Athlete and last was COL Sukhmohinder Singh, head, centre of leadership development and army curriculum branch SAFTI MI HQ. All of them are really great leaders. ( hmm...now i know that leaders must be able to influence others and believing in those who believes you... )
The whole programme ended at around 4 plus. Chloe and i went to pasir ris, white sand there for window shopping. We did our window shopping for around half an hour. Ya..too small for us. Lol...We grabbed a bite at macdonalds, actually should be dinner. Along our way to the bus interchange,we walked in a shop which sells rings, necklance and other stuffs like that. What attracted me most was the craving of couple rings on the necklance. I promised myself that i MUST have couple rings when i have a boyfriend in the future. I will make him buy it for me...lol...
I reached home around 7 plus. Tire and sleepy after the whole day. Hmm...end my blog here then...my cute girl wanted to chat with me le. Bleh...
